Fakhar Zaman bats during a training session — AFPCHENNAI: Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman will take part in a training session later today, where his fitness will be assessed ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023 match against South Africa on Friday. Zaman, who has been suffering from a knee injury, missed the matches against Australia and Afghanistan during the World Cup.
	
		
	
The left-hander opener has only played one match for Pakistan during the World Cup, where he scored 12 runs against the Netherlands. Zaman’s availability for the match against South Africa will be determined after the training session today.
